About Kyushuholic

Our MissioN

“Have you ever been to Japan?”

Ask that, and people always say:“Of course! Tokyo, Osaka, Kyoto, Nara… oh, and I even hit Okinawa!”

That’s great….But… what about Kyushu?

I’ve heard that same answer too many times. So I started this site to spread the love for Kyushu and turn more people into “Kyushuholics.” Not to compete with Tokyo or Kyoto.

But to shine a light on a kyushu that’s just as rich, just as exciting and still flying under the radar.

We believe Kyushu is where the soul of Japan quietly lives:

In the steam of the hot springs, In the taste of ramen down a quiet alley, In the smiles of strangers from small towns no one’s ever heard of.

It’s raw.It’s warm.It’s real.

One day, we hope people all over the world will be saying:“I just got back from Kyushu… and wow, that place was unforgettable.”

This site isn’t for everyone.
It’s really just for the friends I’ve met abroad—
the ones who’ve never even heard of Kyushu.

So if you’re expecting some fancy, polished travel guide… you’re in the wrong place.

This is just me, telling stories, sharing my love for Kyushu,
the way I’d tell it over a beer.

If this site makes your journey even a little more meaningful. If it sparks your curiosity, your hunger, or your sense of wonder

Then tonight’s my beer is going to taste amazing.

Cheers.
